I can’t say how happy I will be when he’s out of office. I absolutely do not trust a thing that comes out of his mouth. The same goes for Cheney. There’s still no evidence of WMD’s or an Iraq-AL-Queda connection. Don’t even get me started on the economy, it’s total garbage but “W” and Cheney’s oil buddies are still making a killing (in all senses). While the U.S.’s oil and gasoline reserves are at an all time high we’re getting raped at the gas pumps. The president could fix this but he chooses not to.

I’m relatively new to blogging and it’s getting addicting. It’s a good way to relax and organize my thoughts. As a kid I was told that I should keep a journal but I never did. Now as an adult, owning my own business, keeping notes is absolutely imperative. At meetings and such, I always kept a legal pad handy. Now I don’t even need that because I can use the notepad on my cell phone. Usually I would get together afterwards with my partners and compare notes and share ideas. This requires us to all be available at the same place at the same time and that’s not always possible. After a recommendation from an Employee who blogs, my partners and I decided to give blogging a try. It has certainly helped us communicate on our own time.

Since then, I began reading other people’s blogs, they’re everywhere. I can find out just about anything that I want to know through blogs. One place I look often is at web-articles.info. This site has over has over 1,300 unique content articles and I can even get them on my phone through RSS feeds. I find myself reading and communicating with my crew and others very easy through blogs. So why not blog?

So it’s official, Ric Flair has retired from the ring. I can’t say that I’m the biggest Ric Flair fan, but I do have a huge respect for all he’s done in wrestling. He’s got an amazing legacy with a career spanning 4 decades and 16 world titles to his name. At 59 years old, It’s hard to believe that his body isn’t falling apart from all of the beatings it’s taken.

Being retired from the ring doesn’t mean he no longer has anything to offer the business. Flair still has an amazing presence and still does some of the best promos in the history of pro wrestling. He certainly could fill the void of great managers I mentioned in an earlier post. Whatever he chooses to do with his retirement, I wish him well.

Recently I had a conversation with a friend about life and how we got to where we are today.
For me, life has been quite an adventure that is far from over. At first I really couldn’t
explain how or why I’ve done some of the things that I have. Growing up a bit of an oddball in
the great midwest U.S.A. to become a rock musician, special effects makeup artist, theme
park junkie, actor, recovered alcoholic, strip club D.J., fire performer, pro wrestler and
most of all a really big nerd with a uber hot girlfriend all before my 32nd birthday.

My story is quite the comedy of errors. All in all, I don’t think that I’ve done too bad for
a white kid from East St. Louis. To quote Pepper Keenan, “If I die before I wake, I think I
got an even break”. If you’re interested, hang on because it’s a wild ride………

First and foremost, It’s awesome!
As a child playing my Atari 2600, never did I think video game systems would evolve
into what they are today. The reason I mentioned the Atari 2600 is that some of those
games are available through Xbox live arcade. Missile Command, Pac-man & Joust are all
available. They look just like the arcade versions instead of their Atari 2600 counterparts.
Wow, they bring me back.

There’s also games available from the 90’s such as Street Fighter II, Smash TV and Ultimate
Mortal Kombat 3. They even threw in some original Xbox titles such as Halo & Fable. All for
your downloading pleasure. With demos available for free you can try out the games before
you buy them. Not only do they offer classic game demos, but also for new games just hitting
stores. As anyone who’s ever owned a game system can tell you, some games may have great cover
art and advertising only to be a real stinker. It’s always best to try before you buy.

Not only are games and demos available through Xbox live. There’s extra content for games,
like multiplayer map packs and character skins as well. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
There’s also PPV movies, TV shows and music videos available. Microsoft really hit a home
run with Xbox Live!

’til next time

Recently my girlfriend’s computer was infected with some pretty nasty malware. This particular
program of course bogged down the system, but that wasn’t all. It locked out the taskmanager and
add/remove programs. In addition it changed her desktop picture to a blue screen with yellow
text stating that the system was infected with spyware. Within the text it said something like
“click here to protect your system”.

Can anyone guess what happened when she clicked on said text? It took her to a site selling
anti-spyware software! These low lifes were charging $60 for software to fix the problem they
created. I was beside myself when I saw this. No way was I going to let her shell out a penny
to these crooks.

Having a little more computer experience than her, I went through the common steps to
fix the problem. Spybot S&D nor McAffe or Blink could fix the problem. I tried to restore
back to a previous date but was locked out. By this time both of us were severly aggrivated,
and wishing horrible things upon the person who wrote this program. I finally ended up backing
up all of her pictures and important documents onto an external hard drive, wiped the system and
reinstalled windows.

We went through all of this trouble just because someone was trying to force us to buy something.
It’s sad because I’m surely not the only person to deal with this problem. But I wasn’t going to
give a penny to these creeps. I’m sure many people have and will continue to.
