More insanity in the news

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

A man was forced to change his t-shirt before boarding a plane. He was told it was a security risk. What was on the shirt you might ask? A cartoon robot holding a gun, more specifically a “transformers” character. A well known fictional cartoon robot holding a laser gun is a security risk. The real risk is underpaid and untrained security officers.

The Most Hated President In History

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Firedoglake   has an interesting article up about ol’ George W. I can’t say how happy I will be when he’s out of office. I absolutely do not trust a thing that comes out of his mouth. The same goes for Cheney. There’s still no evidence of WMD’s or an Iraq-AL-Queda connection. Don’t even get me started on the economy, it’s total garbage but “W” and Cheney’s oil buddies are still making a killing (in all senses). While the U.S.’s oil and gasoline reserves are at an all time high we’re getting raped at the gas pumps. The president could fix this but he chooses not to.

Why Blog?

Monday, April 14th, 2008

I’m relatively new to blogging and it’s getting addicting. It’s a good way to relax and organize my thoughts. As a kid I was told that I should keep a journal but I never did. Now as an adult, owning my own business, keeping notes is absolutely imperative. At meetings and such, I always kept a legal pad handy. Now I don’t even need that because I can use the notepad on my cell phone. Usually I would get together afterwards with my partners and compare notes and share ideas. This requires us to all be available at the same place at the same time and that’s not always possible. After a recommendation from an Employee who blogs, my partners and I decided to give blogging a try. It has certainly helped us communicate on our own time.

Since then, I began reading other people’s blogs, they’re everywhere. I can find out just about anything that I want to know through blogs. One place I look often is at web-articles.info. This site has over has over 1,300 unique content articles and I can even get them on my phone through RSS feeds.  I find myself reading and communicating with my crew and others very easy through blogs. So why not blog?

Ric Flair

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

So it’s official, Ric Flair has retired from the ring. I can’t say that I’m the biggest Ric Flair fan, but I do have a huge respect for all he’s done in wrestling. He’s got an amazing legacy with a career spanning 4 decades and 16 world titles to his name. At 59 years old, It’s hard to believe that his body isn’t falling apart from all of the beatings it’s taken.

Being retired from the ring doesn’t mean he no longer has anything to offer the business. Flair still has an amazing presence and still does some of the best promos in the history of pro wrestling. He certainly could fill the void of great managers I mentioned in an earlier post. Whatever he chooses to do with his retirement, I wish him well.
